Two more bodies have been pulled out of the wreckage of a bridge collapse in Genoa, raising the death toll to 39.
Genoa prosecutor: investigation focusing on design and maintenance
Franceso Cozzi said there were no pending investigations involving the bridge in recent years.
He said if there had been serious concerns about the safety of the bridge "none of us would have driven over that highway 20 times a month as we do."

Pope prays for Genoa victims
He led thousands of people in a special prayer in St Peter's Square.
“I am especially thinking of all those tried by the tragedy in Genoa yesterday, which caused victims and a sense of loss in the population," he said.
Three French citizens among the dead
The French foreign ministry says three of the victims were French citizens.
Local media have reported they were two young women and a man who had travelled to Italy for a music festival.
Their identities have not been revealed.
How does a huge structure like this collapse?
Thankfully it's very rare, Sky News correspondent Rebecca Williams learns at Bath University.
Genoa geography "a curse and a blessing"
Sky News spoke to Nicholas Walton, who has written extensively about Genoa. He said the city is isolated amid mountains and gorges and is heavily dependent on architecture that is now struggling.
"On my frequent visits to the city, including one just this July, the infrastructure that connects Genoa to the outside world has seemed increasingly creaky and shabby," he said.
"The frenetic motorway traffic is often interrupted by workmen who seem to be doing endless patching-up jobs, perhaps illustrating the limits of Italy's public finances.
"The economic situation, however, will surely now get worse," he added. "The viaduct was a critical link for Genoa. Anybody arriving at the airport needed it - or a wriggly and congested urban street - to get into the city centre."
Family of three named among victims
A mother, father and son who were travelling to Sardinia for a family holiday have been confirmed among those killed in the collapse.
Roberto Robbiano, his wife Ersilia Piccinino and seven-year-old Samuele are believed to have died when their car plummeted to the ground.
Mr Robbiano, a 41-year-old computer technician, posted a photo of Sardinia on his Facebook page just hours before the family were killed.
Italian media reported that Samuele's toys, including a Spiderman football, were found inside the wreckage of the family's car.
