North Korea's New Promise: Kim Jong-un Vows to Create the World's Best Socialist Paradise

North Korea's Kim vows to build 'socialist paradise'

SEOUL, South Korea: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has once again pledged to make his country the “world’s best socialist paradise.” He made this announcement during the 80th founding anniversary celebration of the Workers' Party of Korea, attended by senior leaders from China, Russia, and several other nations.

Facing U.S. Military Pressure

Kim Jong-un stated that North Korea faces continuous military threats from the United States and its allies, but vowed that his nation will never back down.

“We will respond to our enemies’ military pressure with strong policies and powerful countermeasures,” Kim declared.

Military Parade and Power Show

A grand military parade is scheduled for Friday in Pyongyang’s central plaza, where Chinese and Russian leaders are expected to stand beside Kim.
During the parade, North Korea plans to showcase its new nuclear missiles and short-range weapons, designed to target the U.S. and South Korea.

💬 Kim’s Message: ‘Courage and Growth’

In his speech, Kim promised:

“I will make North Korea more prosperous, more beautiful, and the world’s best socialist paradise.”

He emphasized that North Korea is developing both nuclear and economic power simultaneously — a dual strategy meant to counter the U.S.’s nuclear war threats.

Stronger Ties with China and Russia

Among the international guests were Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev, and Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary To Lam.
Kim held individual meetings with each of them, discussing ways to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties.

According to reports, the exact timing of the parade remains uncertain due to heavy rain warnings in Pyongyang. Experts suggest the event may take place later in the evening if the weather clears up.

Background: Cold Relations with the U.S.

Relations between North Korea and the U.S. have remained tense since the failed nuclear talks between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump in 2019.
Recently, Kim warned that if the U.S. continues to demand denuclearization, tensions could rise again.

Since then, Kim has focused on expanding North Korea’s nuclear arsenal and strengthening partnerships with Russia and China — signaling a clear shift toward East Asian alliances.

North Korean Media Backs Kim

In a rare move, North Korea’s three state-run newspapers published a joint editorial, praising Kim as:

“The true representative of the Party, the nation’s honor, and its bright future.”

This marks the first joint editorial since 2012, when Kim officially assumed leadership after the death of his father, Kim Jong-il.

Kim Jong-un’s latest declaration reaffirms his ambition to make North Korea a powerful socialist nation, combining military strength, nuclear advancement, and economic development.
With growing ties to China and Russia, the country is signaling a new phase of defiance against Western pressure — and a renewed push for global recognition on its own terms.
