Jayalalithaa's health: Apollo Hospital said all 'comprehensive measure' like 'nutrition' and 'support therapy' are being administered regularly.
The Apollo Hospital in Chennai, where ailing Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has been hospitalised, said in a bulletin that the AIADMK leader is ‘constantly being monitored by Intensivists and Consultants in the panel.’ The illness of the chief minister has been a cause of grave concern for her supporters. The leader was admitted to the hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.
“The respiratory support system is been closely watched and adjusted,” the latest release from the hospital said.
The release also said that the ‘lung de-congestion treatment is still continuing’ and all other measures like “nutrition, support therapy and passive physiotherapy” are still being conducted regularly.
Jayalalithaa’s supporters as well as her political advisories have wished her a speedy recovery. MDMK leader Vaiko on Saturday visited the hospital and expressed confidence that she would return home in good health.
On Friday, Tamil Nadu Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao had held a meeting at his residence to take note of the general administration in the state. The meeting was attended by Jayalalithaa’s trusted lieutenants and State ministers O Panneerselvam and Edappadi K. Palanisamy and chief secretary Rama Mohana Rao.
The meeting came after the hospital released a detailed bulletin on Thursday, in which it mentioned that Jayalalithaa required to stay for a longer duration in the hospital giving rise to speculations that an interim CM may be appointed in the state.
