A British woman who was allegedly raped by two men in Dubai has had charges against her of having extra-marital sex dropped.
The 25-year-old was attacked by two men who have since flown back to the UK following the alleged incident and was not allowed to leave the country.
The woman was on a five-day holiday last month when the attack happened.
She met the two men at the hotel they were all staying at – but they lured her to a room, took turns raping her, and filmed it, it is claimed.
It is feared she could be jailed under the United Arab Emirates’ strict laws, which states that sex outside marriage is banned.
The Foreign Office is aware of the case and is working to support the woman and her family.
