Freddie Michael McLennan and George Joseph Atkins, who were both 19, were killed when their car flipped over on the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat and a major tourist destination in the country.
The vehicle's Bolivian driver, 22-year-old Alberto Barco, also died and four others were injured - including another British 19-year-old who is yet to be identified.
Local police traffic commander, Colonel Bernardo Isnado, said the car appeared to be driving over the speed limit when the accident happened on Sunday night around 186 miles south of the Bolivian capital of La Paz.
The Salar de Uyuni covers an area of 4,086 square miles in southwest Bolivia and is part of a high plateau in the Andes mountain range.
Elsewhere a British man is reported to have died after losing control of his wingsuit during a base jump in the Italian Dolomites.
Jean Andre Quemener, 32, is said to have struck the rock face during high winds before falling.
A spokesman from the Foreign Office said: "We are supporting the family of a British man following his death in Canazei, Italy, and are in contact with the local authorities."
