It has to be noted that in Malaysia money laundering carries a penalty of 15 years in Jail with an additional fine of not less than five times the value of money laundering or illegal transfers or transactions.

Najib Razak, a Former Malaysian Prime Ministers Wife was charged with money laundering with 17 additional charges placed on her. The Agents has mentioned that billions of dollars are missing from state coffers.
The charges are read out at Kuala Lumpur court against presidents wife Rosmah Mansor. She had earlier spent a night in detention as well. She was arrested by anti-graft team earlier on Wednesday. But Rosmah denied all charges framed against her.
Former President Najib is also facing 32 charges related to money laundering, abuse of power, criminal breach of trust which involves billions of dollars. He as well denied all charges.
The Charges against Rosmah were framed after anti-graft team has interrogated her for three rounds. And it was found that $4.5 Billion was misappropriate
When she arrived at the court she was all smiling, waving the hand and blowing fying kiss at the media. She was accompanied by Dozens of armed police officers. She was charged with illegal activities and for not declaring income tax. These both come under anti-money laundering law.
Gopal Sri Ram, the prosecutor, in this case, said these two offences fall under non-bailable offences.
She has also declared that she will produce a witness in her favour soon. She has been granted bail for 2 million ringgit ($482,509.05).
Charges, if proved, will see her imprisoned for 15 years and fine for not less than five times the value of the illegal transfers.
