A 19-year-old housewife was found dead in her residence in mysterious circumstances in Vikhroli, only seven months into her marriage.
According to a report in the Free Press Journal, the victim Aarti Satish Pawar was staying with her husband and in-laws at Vikhroli. Sources told the paper that she had known her husband for some years, after which they decided to get married some months back.
An officer from Parksite police station informed that though there was said to be no objection from husband’s side, investigating are on as to whether there were any issues from the woman’s side.
The cop added that on the day of the incident, after her husband left for office she called him and spoke to him. “However, the husband told her that he was busy with some work and said that he will call her back,” the officer told FPJ. When the husband called back, there was no response from the other side. He kept trying for around 10 times, before eventually requesting a neighbour to find out what the matter was.
The family then found her hanging from the ceiling fan, and informed the Parksite police of the same. Following medical examination, it was confirmed that the woman died due to hanging. Meanwhile, the viscera has been preserved for accessory examinations, the FPJ report further said.
